Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has revealed that he wants the Lilywhites to secure a trophy and qualify for the Champions League next season.

Bentaleb was a pivotal player for manager Mauricio Pochettino last term as he formed a formidable midfield partnership with fellow Spurs’ youth academy graduate Ryan Mason.

The Algeria international featured in 35 games across all competitions and contributed a goal and three assists as the Lilywhites made the final of the League Cup and finished fifth in the league standings to qualify directly for the Europa League.

Looking ahead to the coming season, the youngster has set his sights on helping his side win a trophy and make the top four in order to see his team in the Champions League.

“To push on from last season”, he told his club’s site when asked about his hopes for the coming season.
