The 27-year-old goalkeeper has underlined his ambition to become first choice at Liverpool and play as many games as he can at Anfield.

In an interview with LFC TV, the Hungarian said: “My No.1 personal achievement would be to play as many games as I possibly can.”

“With the team, which is more important, I would like to win trophies. I think we have a really good chance to do that and that's what it's all about.

“I'm really excited to join a club where I have a chance to do that”, he added.

The Hungary international played only 15 times for the Trotters last season, having been an understudy to Andy Lonergan.

He will replace Brad Jones, who left the Anfield club at the end of the 2014/15 season, in the Reds squad. .

Although he had largely been second choice at Bolton, Bogdan comes to Liverpool with Premier League pedigree.

He has played 24 times in England’s top flight with the Trotters, and has a solitary clean sheet to his credit.
