Napoli have slapped in a new cash plus player bid for Manchester United linked full-back Matteo Darmian.

The Partenopei have been actively pursuing the Torino full-back, who has also been linked with a move away from Italy this summer.

Clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal have been touted as his potential suitors but it has been Napoli who have been doing all the running for Darmian.

They have already seen a few of their bids rejected by Torino but the club have been relentless in their pursuit of the 25-year-old and have put in a new offer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have placed a fresh bid worth €14m in cash on Torino’s table and have offered to send Jorginho to the other side on a season-long loan deal.

Il Toro are aware that they might lose Darmian this summer but have been stickling to their asking price of €20m for the player for some time now.

Napoli want Darmian desperately, as evident by their relentless pursuit of the full-back, but are unwilling to fork out the fee that Torino are demanding at the moment.

They are still hopeful of reaching an agreement with Torino for a cash plus player bid for the Italian international.
