Scottish Championship club Rangers have announced the capture of highly-rated youngsters Jordan Gibson and Tom Lang.

Both Gibson and Lang will be joining the Gers’ academy after signing full-time contracts at the club. However, their move to the Ibrox club is subject to international clearance.

Academy head Craig Mulholland has expressed his delight at the youngsters’ arrival at the club, and wished them well for their future at Rangers.

“I am pleased that both Tom and Jordan will be joining the academy”, said Mulholland to the Gers’ official website.

“We are delighted to have both boys on board, subject to their international clearance coming through, and wish them well in their career with the club.”

He talked up the opportunities at the club’s academy, which will help in the pair’s all-round development.

“They now have an opportunity to develop as footballers and people within the high performance environment we are creating within the academy”, he added.

Gibson and Lang have started their pre-season training at Rangers’ Murray Park training centre, although their moves are still subject to international clearance.

18-year-old Lang is a Scotland youth international who has been training with the Light Blues since last season. 17-year-old Gibson arrives from England’s Midland League Premier Division club Alvechurch FC.

The two prospects are Rangers’ third and fourth signings of the season after the arrivals of Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan last month.
