Celtic boss Ronny Deila is delighted with the club's two signings this summer, with Saidy Janko having joined Dedryck Boyata through the entrance door at Celtic Park earlier today.

Boyata played for 60 minutes this evening as Celtic took on Dutch side Den Bosch at St. Mirren Park in a friendly fixture.

Celtic ran out comfortable 2-0 winners on the night, with a goal from Gary Mckay-Steven in the third minute being added to by an own goal from the Dutch outfit in the 25th minute.

Deila was delighted with Boyata's display and believes his defensive talent was clearly on display for the hour he played.

Speaking at a press conference, Deila said: "He plays with calmness and you can see he has a very good understanding of the game.

"He is good in the air and he will be a good signing for us."

Deila is also pleased to have added Janko to the ranks, swooping on Manchester United for the Switzerland Under-19 international, who was out of contract at Old Trafford.

"He is young and we want to develop him", the Norwegian explained.

"He is a very talented full-back."

Janko will finish his final medical checks with Celtic tomorrow and has agreed a four-year contract with the Scottish champions.
