West Ham have pulled out of the race for Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna, who is also a target for Southampton and Everton, according to Sky Italia.

The defender is expected to leave the Italian champions this summer in search of more first team football after making just 18 apperances last season.

The 27-year-old centre half is attracting considerable interest amongst Premier League sides, such as Southampton and Everton, who are reportedly interested in signing him this summer.

West Ham, who are in the market for defenders, were also believed to be on his trail but according to Sky Italia, the club seem to have pulled out of the chase.

While it is unclear why they have decided to end their interest in Ogbonna, the Hammers are looking at other options and are said to be in negotiations with Dynamo Kyiv for Aleksandar Dragovic.
