Ajax are quietly putting together a list of goalkeeping targets in the event they lose custodian Jasper Cillessen to Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United have not made contact with Ajax over Cillessen, but have been strongly linked with making a move to sign him if David de Gea heads for Real Madrid.

De Gea has just a year left on his contract at Old Trafford and the Red Devils appear to be fighting a losing battle to keep him from Real Madrid's clutches.

Cillessen is someone Louis van Gaal may turn to to fill De Gea's shoes and according to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, Ajax are not sitting on their hands and waiting to lose the goalkeeper.

Ajax are determined to learn from last year, when they lost Daley Blind to Manchester United at the end of the transfer window, offering little time to secure a replacement.

Frank de Boer's men are now working at putting together a list of replacements for Cillessen to allow them to react quickly if the goalkeeper joins the Red Devils.

Ajax would not allow Cillessen to leave cheaply, with a figure of €28m mooted.
