Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has said that Sergio Ramos only wants to move to Manchester United this summer.

The relationship between the Real Madrid defender and current club supremo Florentino Perez is believed to have hit an all-time low and Ramos is reportedly ready to force a move out of the Bernabeu this summer.

Manchester United have sensed an opportunity to sign the 29-year-old and reportedly tabled an opening bid of €40m earlier in the week.

And Calderon revealed that Ramos has asked Real Madrid to only consider offers from Manchester United as they are his preferred choice.

"I know Sergio has told the general manager to listen to offers they get from Manchester United", Calderon told the BBC.

"He only wants to go to United."

Reflecting on the situation between the club and the senior Real Madrid player, Calderon said that things are not looking good for Ramos’ future at the club.

He added that the defender’s relationship with the Real Madrid hierarchy is only getting worse with each passing day.

Ramos is believed to be demanding a new contract worth €10m per season, but Calderon revealed that money is not the only issue that has sent the defender’s relationship with the club on a rapid slide.

"Things are in a very bad situation", he said.

"As time has gone on, things have not only not improved, they have got worse.

"Now it is not a question of money. It is a lack of affection the player is feeling from Real Madrid."
