Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has welcomed new signing Miranda to the club, insisting that the Brazilian will be another important addition to the Nerazzurri squad.

The 30-year-old underwent a medical with the Italian giants earlier in the week and sealed a €15m move from Atletico Madrid yesterday after the paperwork was completed.

Welcoming the vastly experienced defender, Thohir added that having a player of Miranda's quality will be great for the team.

The president also took time to insist that the defender is as eager to take to the field for his new team as the club are. And with the new season knocking at the door it will be an exciting moment for the club as well as the fans.

“Miranda is another great addition to Roberto Mancini’s squad for our new Inter", Thohir told his club's official website.
