Everton have completed a deal to sign 19-year-old forward David Henen on a permanent contract from Olympiacos.

The Belgian youth international forward spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Everton from Olympiacos and was a regular for their Under-21 side.

The youngster did enough in his 15 apperances for the reserves to convince Everton boss Roberto Martinez to sign him on a permanent deal.

Henen has completed his switch to the Toffees from the Greek champions and has signed a three-year contract with the club.

The 19-year-old is delighted to sign for the Merseyside club and feels that he has joined the perfect club to continue his development as a footballer.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Henen said: “I am so happy; Everton are a big club and I feel I can develop here.

“For a young player it is the best club because they try to develop youngsters. It is perfect for me.”

Henen becomes Martinez’s second signing of the summer after Gerard Deulofeu, who signed from Barcelona last week.

The youngster has already earned five caps for Belgium’s Under-19 team and will be hoping to break into the first team at Goodison Park next season.
