Roma have slapped an asking price of €45m on Liverpool linked midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The 25-year-old midfielder is one of the important members of Rudi Garcia’s squad at the Stadio Olimpico and is considered an important element of their future plans.

However, his performances in Serie A have attracted the prying eyes of some top European clubs and Roma are thought to be worried that they might lose the Bosnia international this summer.

Liverpool have been linked with eyeing him as a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard and could make a move for him, but they are not the only ones keen.

It has been claimed that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has taken a liking for Pjanic and wants to take him to the Vicente Calderon this summer but Roma have been alert to the situation.
