New Celtic signing Saidy Janko has praised his new manager Ronny Deila and believes the Norwegian can help him improve as a player.

Janko, who was confirmed as the Bhoys’ second signing of the summer yesterday, has expressed his admiration for his new club’s Norwegian manager.

“He is a very good coach I think”, said Janko when asked about his thoughts on Deila in a press conference at the club’s Lennoxtown training centre.

The 19-year-old ex-Manchester United youngster feels Deila will be instrumental in his progress and playing under the Norwegian will make him a better player.

“I think he feels I’ve got a lot to work on so he wants to work on that and make me better as a player.

“That’s what he told me and I’m happy to do that”, he added.

The Swiss Under-21 international arrives in Glasgow from Manchester United. He becomes the second Celtic signing from Manchester this summer after Dedryck Boyata, who was signed from Manchester City last month.

Janko played in England’s Championship for Bolton in the second half of 2014/15. He clocked up ten league appearances for the Trotters last season.
