Fenerbahce have started negotiations with Manchester United for winger Nani and he is set to undergo his medical with the Turkish side this Sunday.

Nani has been with the Red Devils since he landed at Old Trafford in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon, and last summer he was sent on a loan spell to the Portuguese side.




Manchester United are eager to offload the winger, who is surplus to their requirement, this summer.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have released a statement on their site confirming that the Portugal international will arrive in Turkey this Sunday and subsequently undergo his medical.
 


“Fenerbahce announce that we have started the negotiations with Nani and his club for his transfer.

“Nani will arrive in Istanbul on 5th of July, Sunday, will go through medical examination and the negotiations will continue in Istanbul.”

During his time at Old Trafford, Nani went on to make 230 appearances for the Red Devils’ first team and registered figures of 40 goals and 73 assists. He also won four league titles and the Champions League in 2008.

He has earned 85 caps for the Portugal national team, scoring 15 goals in the process.
