Former Celtic striker John Guidetti is flattered by talk of interest in his services from Europa League winners Sevilla and has issued a thinly veiled come-and-get-me plea to the Spaniards.

Los Rojiblancos have just sold Colombia international Carlos Bacca to AC Milan and Guidetti has been mooted as a potential replacement.

Guidetti spent last season on loan in Scotland with Celtic, but is now out of contract with parent club Manchester City, which means he is available on a free transfer following his release by the Citizens.

And news of a potential move to Sevilla excites the Sweden star.

Speaking to ABC Sevilla, Guidetti was asked about talk Sevilla want him and replied: "That would be fun. Sevilla are a great club."

Guidetti is due to soon meet with his agent to go through the offers which are on the table, after helping Sweden win the European Under-21 Championship.

And he admits Sevilla would represent a good move in his career.

"I have an appointment with my agent to discuss a transfer. I've heard rumours of Sevilla and it would be a nice step.

"Sevilla have a great team and it's not for nothing they won the Europa League. But I have to be patient.

"Spanish football appeals to me. We'll see what happens."

Guidetti scored 15 goals for Celtic last season, helping the Bhoys to success in the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup.
