Scottish Championship outfit Rangers have clinched the signing of former Swindon Town goalkeeper Wes Foderingham on a free transfer.

Foderingham, who was released by the Robins last month upon the expiry of his contract at the English League One club, has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the option of an additional year with the Ibrox club.

The 24-year-old came up through the ranks at Fulham but failed to make a mark with the Cottagers. He signed his first professional contract with Crystal Palace as a 19-year-old.

With Foderingham’s capture, Rangers have now added three players to their first team. Defenders Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan signed for the Gers last month.

He will be expected to provide competition to the club’s first choice goalkeeper Cammy Bell.
