French outfit Bordeaux are determined not to sell prized attacking asset Diego Rolan to Newcastle United for €15m.

The Magpies want to snap up the Uruguayan, who impressed with Bordeaux last season and scored 15 goals in the process, attracting a number of admirers.

But according to French daily Sud Ouest, a €15m bid on the table from Newcastle is considered nowhere near good enough by Bordeaux.

The Ligue 1 club are determined that Rolan will not leave for Newcastle's current bid.

Bordeaux signed Rolan from Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting in 2013.
