Celtic manager Ronny Deila is eager to forget some parts of his side's 5-3 friendly defeat to Czech outfit Dukla Prague today at St Mirren Park, arguing that when his charges have more match practice under their belts mistakes will not happen.

The Bhoys fell behind to the Czech side in just the 13th minute before drawing level through a Leigh Griffiths penalty on the 28 minute mark.

But the Prague-based outfit pulled ahead again in the 36th minute and clearly had momentum, even if a Gary Mackay-Steven strike in the 43rd minute meant it was 2-2 at the break.

A penalty, which completed a hat-trick for Marek Hanousek, in the 49th minute made it 3-2 to Dukla Prague, who then went 4-2 up.

Celtic pulled a goal back through Virgil van Dijk with seven minutes left, however the Czechs struck again and it ended 5-3 to the visitors.

Deila is in no doubt his team were offered a stiff test and is ready to forget the errors they made, putting them down to cobwebs.

"We met a good team today and had a good test. We have a lot of things to work on", he told Celtic TV.

"But there are a lot of things you just have to forget as you know when the sharpness returns we won't have situations like today.

"Dukla had more games under their belt and you could see that today", Deila added.

And overall the Norwegian is happy with Celtic's decision to base themselves in Scotland for pre-season.

"It's been perfect. We have had a good exercise and not used up a lot of time travelling."
