New Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri is keen for the club to keep hold of striker Gonzalo Higuain, but admits if a release clause in his contract is met then the club will embark upon finding a replacement.

Higuain has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, but Napoli are demanding any interested side meet a release clause in his contract; the Gunners have already reportedly had one bid refused.

That is estimated to be between €95m and €100m, although the advantageous exchange rate for English clubs means the lower figure comes in at £67m, a sum well within reach for both Arsenal and Manchester United.

And while Sarri wants to keep the Argentine, he admits if the clause is met Napoli will start looking for a replacement.

Sarri said on Italian broadcaster Sky Italia: "I would like Higuain to stay with us, but if they pay the clause, with that money we could return to the market."
