Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is poised to leave Old Trafford to head for Turkey and Fenerbahce, according to ITV.

Lukas Podolski has just completed a switch from Arsenal to Galatasaray and Van Persie is on the brink of joining the club's fierce rivals, Fenerbahce.

The striker's agent has been in Istanbul this week, holding talks with the Yellow Canaries in a bid to reach an agreement.

And personal terms have been thrashed out on a four-year contract for Van Persie.

Now Manchester United are discussing a fee with Fenerbahce and the signs are increasingly pointing towards an exit for the Dutchman.
