Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been in touch with Pedro Rodriguez's representatives to register their interest in signing the Barcelona forward.

Pedro recently put pen to paper on a new contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2019, however doubts remain over his future due to a lack of regular playing time.

The forward has a tough task on his hands dislodging one of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, something which has alerted other clubs to his potential availability.

According to Catalan daily Sport, both Liverpool and Arsenal have made clear to Pedro's representatives that they would be willing to lodge a bid for him this summer.

However, the Premier League pair need a signal from Pedro that he is open to a move.

Out of the English duo, Pedro is most interested by Liverpool as he knows he would most likely be handed the chance to replace Raheem Sterling, which would mean regular playing time at Anfield.

Last season the 27-year-old made 50 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring eleven goals and providing nine assists.

However, the majority of his action came from the bench and Pedro clocked up just a single minute in the Champions League final against Juventus.
