Former Leeds United consultant Graham Bean has launched a stinging attack on the Whites for their treatment of former head coach Neil Redfearn and says that the club's fans will be "appalled" when they learn the truth surrounding the 49-year-old's situation.
Redfearn stepped up from his role at the club's academy last season to take over in the dugout and led the side out of relegation danger in the Championship and to a safe spot in lower mid-table.
He was widely praised for trusting in a number of young talents he helped develop in the academy, while also masterminding victories over several of the division's top sides.
But a falling out with Leeds owner Massimo Cellino, which saw the Italian brand the head coach "like a baby", "weak" and told him to "respect the chairman", led to him not being kept on over the summer.
Redfearn was contractually entitled to return to his former job at the academy, which he confirmed he would do, but he was nowhere to be seen when training started earlier this week and is now negotiating a settlement to leave the club.

And Bean, who was sacked by Cellino last season from his role at Leeds, feels fans will be disgusted when the full picture surrounding Redfearn's departure emerges.
"Once full story emerges about this situation any decent LUFC fan will be appalled at whats gone on behind the scenes", he wrote on Twitter.
"Redfearn has nurtured talent that will be worth millions to club in the future and he does not deserve the treatment he has had recently.
"Redfearn has kept his dignity throughout but this may prove to be a very serious misjudgement by AP [Adam Pearson] and MC [Massimo Cellino] in the way it's been handled.
"In football people move on but [as with] Redfearn [when they] do they should be treated with respect and acknowledgement of the outstanding work he has done.
"Certain people at the club need to take a long hard look at themselves because this could have been dealt with so much better.
"Serious issues surrounding the Redfearn issue – fans will be appalled when they discover the truth."
