Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has said that the Gunners need to start their next campaign in the same vein that they finished last season in order to challenge for trophies.

Arsene Wenger’s side enjoyed a great run of form in 2015, which ultimately propelled them to a third place finish in the league standings and thereby saw them qualify directly to the group stage of the Champions League.

They also thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley in May to win their second consecutive domestic cup to cap off a successful season.

And Bellerin, who went on to make his Champions League debut against Borussia Dortmund last season and made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners first team, feels that they need to start on the same footing as they ended their last season in order to remain in the hunt for trophies.

“The team really feel like we can beat any team in the world with the performances we’ve had, so we’re all really, really excited to hopefully start the season with the right mindset and with the right results”, the Catalan told Arsenal Player.
