Celtic are rapidly closing in on the signature of goalkeeper Logan Bailly.

The 29-year-old currently plays for Belgian outfit Leuven, who have confirmed that the shot-stopper has agreed in principle to link up with the Bhoys this summer.

The Belgian club confirmed on their official site: "Logan Bailly on Tuesday signed a contract in principle with the Scottish giants Celtic."

Bailly helped Leuven secure promotion to the Belgian top flight last season, but has considerable experience playing at a higher level.

The custodian turned out for Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach from 2009 until 2012, while he also had a spell in Switzerland at Neuchatel Xamax before heading home with Genk.

Bailly has eight senior Belgium caps to his name, earned between 2009 and 2010.

Should he complete the formalities of a move to Celtic Park, the goalkeeper would compete with Craig Gordon for a spot between the sticks.

Ronny Deila's men have a busy campaign approaching which they hope will also include Champions League group stage football.
