Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran is set for a permanent move to Brentford this summer, according to the BBC.

The deal with the Championship outfit could be completed today for a fee believed to be worth £750,000.

McEachran has come through the ranks of the Chelsea youth academy – which he joined in 2001  and he was promoted to the first team in 2010.

The Englishman went on to make his first team debut for the Blues against MSK Zilina on 15th September 2010 as a substitute, but he found regular first team action hard to come by.

The 22-year-old has had several loan spells with various English sides, including Swansea City, Middlesbrough, Watford and Wigan Athletic, and he spent the last season at Dutch outfit Vitesse.

Through the course of his time at Stamford Bridge, he made 22 first team appearances for the Blues.

His addition to the Bees ranks will strengthen their side as they bid to improve upon their Championship semi-final playoff defeat from last season and challenge for top flight promotion next season.
