Van Persie though will not be playing alongside Kuyt at Fenerbahce as the Dutchman ended his spell in Turkey this summer to return home with Feyenoord.

At present Van Persie has just a single year left on his contract at Manchester United and has not been offered an extension.

Fenerbahce are already making plans for his signing ceremony and Wednesday has been mooted as being a key day in the Turkish club's mission.
