Manchester United Reserves will play a pre-season friendly against Salford City at Moor Lane on 13th July.

Warren Joyce’s side were crowned the Under-21 Premier League Division 1 champions after finishing four points ahead of second placed Liverpool.




In their first pre-season friendly this summer, they will face Northern Premier League Premier Division side Salford City.

Salford City are 50 per cent owned by Valencia owner Peter Lim and the other half is owned by Manchester United legends Phillip Neville, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, who each have a ten per cent share.
 


The Ammies enjoyed a successful campaign last term as they were won the Northern Premier League Division One North title.

Meanwhile, Joyce’s side will look to retain their title as they prepare for the 2015/16 campaign.

Manchester United’s senior side will soon embark on their pre-season tour of the United States where they are scheduled to play Club America, San Jose Earthquakes, reigning European champions Barcelona and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
