Tottenham Hotspur have signed young midfielder Harry Winks to a new contract at White Hart Lane.

The highly rated talent has put pen to paper on a contract which keeps him at Spurs until 2018 and also contains an option for a further year, taking his stay potentially to 2019.

Winks made his senior debut for the White Hart Lane outfit in a Europa League tie against Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade in November last year.

And in a sign of manager Mauricio Pochettino's faith in the 19-year-old, Winks was taken on the club's post-season tour to Malaysia and Australia and played in both games.

Winks was also a regular with Spurs' Under-21 side, clocking up 18 appearances in the Under-21 Premier League last term.
