Liverpool recently conducted a two-day medical check-up of Roberto Firmino after Brazil’s Copa America campaign ended in the quarter-finals.

The Reds confirmed the transfer of the Brazilian playmaker from Hoffenheim last month for a transfer fee of €41m and he has signed a five-year contract with the club.

While Firmino is firmly on his way to England this summer, Liverpool wanted to double check before the Brazilian joins the squad for their pre-season preparations following his holidays.

According to German daily Bild, the English giants recently conducted a two-day medical in Sao Paulo for Firmino following Brazil’s Copa America exit.

The Brazilian is reported to have passed the tests without any problems and dispelled any apprehensions that the Reds had about his physical shape at the end of a grueling season.
