Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen admits that he has heard speculation linking him with Louis van Gaal's Manchester United, but says he is focusing only on life with the Dutch giants.

Van Gaal knows Cillessen well from his time in charge of the Netherlands and has been linked with turning to the shot-stopper if David de Gea moves to Real Madrid this summer.

Cillessen does his best not to take any notice of transfer speculation, but links with Manchester United have been hard for the custodian to avoid.

"Of course, you hear some things about it through the media", he told Ajax's official site, when asked about being linked with the Red Devils.

"But I keep myself away from it actually and I have not heard from my agents", Cillessen continued.

And the Dutch international insists he is very much focused on the upcoming season with Frank de Boer's Ajax, who are aiming to win back the title from rivals PSV Eindhoven.

"I have it really good with Ajax", Cillessen said.

"I am enjoying myself and I started [training] again with great pleasure today."

A product of NEC Nijmegen's youth system, Cillessen was snapped up by Ajax in 2011.

He was the Netherlands' first choice goalkeeper under Van Gaal at the World Cup in Brazil last summer and has 23 caps for the country to his name so far.
