Liverpool midfielder James Milner feels that Brendan Rodgers’ side are a good fit for him, saying that it will be great playing in front of the club’s supporters.

Milner has moved to Anfield on a free transfer from Manchester City and will be donning the iconic number 7 shirt for the team next season.




The England international feels that the Reds are a great fit for him and he is relishing the pressure that comes with playing for a club of Liverpool’s stature.

“Liverpool is a great fit for me as a club”, he told his club’s site in an interview.
 


“It's a huge club and there is a lot of pressure every time you step out onto that field.”

The 29-year-old further added that having played for so many years as part of the opposition at Anfield, he is now looking forward to playing for the Reds at their famous ground.

“I've played in front of the Anfield crowd and it'll be nice to be on the other side of the fans now!

“The atmosphere they create is fantastic and probably some of the best atmospheres I've played in in England, so to have them supporting me is definitely going to be an amazing feeling.”

After a heady of high of challenging for the league title in the 2013/14 campaign, Liverpool ended last season in sixth and Milner will be keen to help his new team finish among the top four next term.
