Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is looking forward to playing against European giants Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain during his club's pre-season tour of the United States and feels that the two encounters will give him a taste of things to come in the Champions League.

Shaw arrived at Old Trafford from Southampton last summer, but he struggled with injuries in his inaugural season with the Red Devils, making only 20 appearances across all competitions.

The Red Devils, on their pre-season tour of the United States, are scheduled to play Mexican Liga MX side Club America on 17th July, which will be followed by their match against San Jose Earthquakes on 21st July.

Their last two games are against reigning European champions Barcelona and French champions Paris Saint-Germain on 25th July and 29th July respectively.

And Shaw is looking forward to the challenge of facing the two European powerhouses and feels that the two encounters will be a good prelude to the Champions League matches.
