Manchester United are on the brink of agreeing to sign Matteo Darmian from Italian Serie A side Torino after submitting a fresh offer for the right-back.

The Red Devils' opening offer for Darmian consisted of a fee of €12m, plus a further €3m in bonus payments. However, Torino knocked it back, valuing the Italy international at €20m.

Now, according to Sky Italia, just €2m is separating the two clubs after the Red Devils lodged a fresh bid.

Manchester United's new offer for Darmian is €16m plus a further €2m in bonus payments, putting them just €2m off Torino.
