West Ham target Angelo Ogbonna’s future is expected to be decided by the end of today, it has been claimed in Italy.

Everton and West Ham are the clubs who are currently in the race for the Juventus defender’s signature, but the Hammers are said to be leading the chase.

The 27-year-old’s agent is claimed to have met the West Ham hierarchy last night and according to Sky Italia, the defender’s future is expected to be decided by the end of the day.

While Everton are not out of the race yet, West Ham are said to be in the driving seat and Ogbonna is expected to give his nod to a move to Upton Park this summer.

The defender is keen to secure some regular first team football next season, something which has eluded him at Juventus since he joined the club from Torino in 2013.

Juventus are also not going to stand in the way of Ogbonna leaving as they are also looking to make space in their squad for fresh faces.

He is also an Italian international and has earned ten caps for the Azzurri, but his last appearance in national colours came in October last year against Malta.
