Celtic youngster Liam Henderson has reflected on his time in Norway with Rosenborg, which he feels helped him develop as a player.

Henderson, who joined Norwegian club Rosenborg in the latter half of last season, has returned to his parent club and has joined the Bhoys’ pre-season programme.

The youngster feels his short stint away from Glasgow enhanced his all-round knowledge of the game and also helped in his development, both as a player and as a person.

"Maybe my all-round game knowledge was what I learned the most out there”, said the young midfielder when asked about his development in Norway during a press conference today.

"[I’m] a better player and better person for it. I’ve grown up and become more mature so I’m sure that will help me in the future."

Rosenborg are currently first in the Tippeligaen halfway into the season.

“[I] had a great three months in Norway. You can learn a lot in a short period of time and come back stronger.

“Rosenborg [are] very similar to here in terms of training. [It was] easy to fit in, all the boys were brand new. [I] hope they can win the league”, Henderson added.

Henderson joined Rosenborg at the end of March and played 11 games for the club, scoring three goals in the process.

The youngster featured as a second half substitute in the Bhoys’ pre-season friendly loss to Dukla Prague on Saturday.
