Real Madrid are keen to offload Liverpool target Denis Cheryshev before they embark on their pre-season tour later this month.

The 24-year-old Russian spent the last two seasons on loan at Villarreal and Sevilla respectively and in the presence of players such as James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale in the squad, he is not expected to play regular football at the Bernabeu next term.

The club are believed to be ready to sell the player this summer and according to Spanish radio station Cadena COPE, they want to do it before their pre-season tour of Australia later this month.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is said be a big fan of the winger and is keen to sign him as a replacement for Raheem Sterling, who is being chased by Manchester City.

With Real Madrid willing to sell him, the Reds may well make their move for the winger, but it is still not clear whether the Russian will move on a fresh loan deal or opt for a permanent switch.
