Inter Milan have agreed personal terms with Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic for a switch to Italy this summer, it has been claimed.

The Nerazzurri have been on his trail for months and have held multiple meetings with the player’s agent to discuss a potential deal for the forward.

After much deliberation, according to Sky Italia, Jovetic’s agent agreed terms of a contract with Inter on behalf of his client yesterday.

With the personal terms thrashed out, Inter are expected to turn their attention towards reaching an agreement with the Citizens for the transfer of the Montenegrin forward.

Inter are keen to sign the forward on an initial loan deal and reserve the right to make the move permanent later, based on his performances in Italy.

Nerazzurri officials are in discussions with their Manchester City counterparts and are confident that they will be able to close out a deal for Jovetic soon.

The 25-year-old has struggled to adapt to English football since joining the club in 2013 and was on the fringes of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad at the Etihad last season.

The former Fiorentina man is said to be keen to return to Italy to rediscover his form and play regular first team football in an established team.
