Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has completed a loan move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 19-year-old made his first team debut for Chelsea during their 2–1 away win agaisnt Shrewsbury Town in the fourth round of the League Cup last season.




He also made his Premier League debut for the Blues when manager Jose Mourinho brought him on as a substitute against Sunderland in May.

The youngster has been at Stamford Bridge since 2012 when he joined from Brondby.
 


Last season, he was a regular for the Chelsea Under-21 side and made 21 appearances for them as they finished third in the Under-21 Premier League Division 1 standings and won the UEFA Youth League.

Borussia Monchengladbach finished third in their league campaign last season and have qualified for the Champions League as a consequence.

Christensen earned his first senior cap for the Denmark national team when he came on as a substitute during their 2–1 friendly win against Montenegro last month.
