Leeds United head coach Uwe Rosler has showered praise on Sol Bamba following his side's 1-1 friendly draw against Harrogate Town this evening.

Rosler played with two different teams in each half of the match, with Bamba on for the second half and captaining the Whites against the minnows.

It ended 1-1, with Steve Morison scoring Leeds' only goal in the 49th minute to draw his side level and help the Whites avoid defeat.

For Rosler, while it is still early days, there were many positives to take out of the game, not least Bamba's performance.

"I think Sol Bamba in the second half was fantastic, that's how I wish my defenders to compete", he explained to LUTV.

The former Wigan Athletic manager was also keen to praise summer signing Lee Erwin, feeling the striker showed glimpses of why the Whites pushed hard to sign him from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.

And Rosler feels Erwin will be a good player, even if he still has much to learn.

"Lee Erwin showed glimpses of why we got him, he's an exciting prospect.

"He has to learn about the game, but there were a lot of positive things."
