Leeds United defender Sol Bamba has stressed the importance of Steve Morison to the club and expressed his delight at the striker's goal last night.

Morison netted in the second half of Leeds' friendly away against Harrogate Town to secure a 1-1 draw for the Whites.

Bamba captained the Leeds side for the second half of the match and the team appeared delighted when Morison scored.

And the Ivorian defender was no exception, telling LUTV: "He deserved it. He works hard – good player, good lad."

Bamba also feels that Morison is a good person for the Whites to have in the dressing room.

Morison will be looking to continue to impress new Leeds head coach Uwe Rosler throughout pre-season as he puts forward his case to feature regularly in the German's starting eleven.
