New Leeds United signing Tom Adeyemi has revealed he has a suffered a knock to his ankle and will be aiming to return to action with the Whites in Austria.

Uwe Rosler's men signed the all-action midfielder from Cardiff City earlier today on a season-long loan deal with a view to a permanent move.

However, he appears unlikely to jump straight into action during Leeds' friendly game against York City on Wednesday as he has picked up an ankle knock.

Adeyemi though does not feel the niggle will keep him sidelined long term and he is looking forward to being involved with the squad when they travel to Austria.

He told LUTV: "I've just had a little knock on my ankle so I've missed a few days of pre-season training.

"It's just a case of getting it right, getting back up to speed and then hopefully I'll be able to join in with the games in Austria.

"I feel pretty fit. There were some tests at Cardiff for pre-season and I did pretty well in them so I feel I've got a good base of fitness."

Adeyemi, who worked with Rosler at Brentford, has also vowed to give his all for the Leeds fans, terming them a "demanding" group of supporters who want to see their players working hard for the shirt.

The midfielder explained: "I know the fans are very demanding and they like players to work hard and show commitment to the cause – and that is something I'll definitely be doing."
