Southampton are on the verge of sealing a move for midfielder Jordy Clasie from Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord.

The Dutch international is believed to be on his way out of Feyenoord and is a target for Southampton boss Ronald Koeman, who wants him at the club as replacement for Manchester United new boy Morgan Schneiderlin.

According to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, the Saints have agreed to pay an initial fee of €13.5m to Feyenoord for the signature of the 24-year-old and he is expected to leave for England soon to complete the deal.

The Feyenoord skipper is set to agree personal terms with the Saints and finalise the minute details of his move to the south coast club later today.

Clasie is expected to make his debut for the Saints against Feyenoord in a pre-season friendly next week.
