Dynamo Kyiv striker Jeremain Lens is set to undergo a medical at Sunderland later today.

Schooled at AZ Alkmaar’s youth academy, the 27-year-old forward played for clubs such as NEC Nijmegen and PSV Eindhoven before moving to Dynamo Kyiv in 2013.




The Dutchman is said to have caught the imagination of Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat and the former Netherlands coach is on the verge of signing Lens from Dynamo Kyiv this summer.

According to the Press Association, the 27-year-old is expected to arrive in England later today to undergo a medical with Sunderland before signing a contract with his new club.
 


A fee is believed to have already been agreed between the Black Cats and Dynamo Kyiv and Lens has already posted a picture on Twitter indicating towards his move to the Premier League. He posted "Ready for takeoff."

Advocaat is looking to add more goals and creativity to his squad and feels Lens has the ability to do just that in the Premier League.

Lens has scored 16 goals and provided 19 assists in his 78 apperances for Dynamo Kyiv and still has two years left on his contract with the club.

He has also earned 30 caps for the Netherlands and last represented his national side in October last year.
