Galatasaray are reeling from being beaten to the signature of Younes Kaboul by Sunderland.

Kaboul has completed a switch from Tottenham Hotspur to the Stadium of Light, linking up with Dick Advocaat's men and extending his stay in English football.

According to Turkish outlet AMKspor, Kaboul had been identified as a priority summer signing by Galatasaray and they are disappointed to have missed out on snapping him up.

The Turkish Super Lig champions were keen for Kaboul to bolster their defensive options ahead of next season, where they will look to defender their domestic crown and make progress in the Champions League.

Now Galatasaray will have to switch their focus elsewhere as they look to add to their defensive options.
