Anderlecht have prepared a bid of €3m to sign Sampdoria striker Stefan Okaka.

The Belgian giants want to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic, who they have just sold to Newcastle United, and have tuned to Okaka to fill the hole left by the Serbian's departure.

Okaka has been heavily linked with a move to England, with Leeds United, Stoke City and Southampton mooted as being keen to tempt him across the channel.

But according to Sky Italia, Anderlecht's concrete move for the Italy international is now imminent.

The Belgian side will lodge a €3m offer for Okaka and Sampdoria are in the mood to listen.

Sampdoria signed Okaka from Parma last year, but in the recently concluded campaign he managed to hit the back of the net on just four occasions.

Nevertheless, Anderlecht are convinced the 25-year-old can replace the prolific Mitrovic.

Okaka has one cap and one goal to his name at senior international level for Italy.
