Inter Milan are confident of sealing a deal for Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic soon, according to Sky Italia.

The Serie A giants have already reportedly reached an agreement with the player, although Manchester City are yet to give their nod on the transfer.

However, the Citizens have lowered their demands over the transfer fee and are open to letting Jovetic go on loan with an option for Inter to buy the player for a reported sum in the range of €15m plus bonuses.

If all goes to the plan, Jovetic could be at the San Siro by the end of next week, it has been claimed.

The Montenegro international arrived at the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2013 from Fiorentina, but he has failed to make his mark at the Premier League outfit.

With the Citizens’ squad stacked with strikers, Jovetic has struggled for regular first team action and has made only 30 Premier League appearances over his two seasons in the English top flight.

His addition to the Inter squad will give Roberto Mancini another attacking outlet as they prepare for the forthcoming season.

Jovetic has earned 34 caps for the Montenegro national team and has netted 13 goals in the process.
