Despite being linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, young Lyon striker Clinton N'Jie is keen to stay put in France to further his development.

N'Jie has been tipped to be Lyon's next big star and showed flashes of his talent last term when clocking up 43 appearances in all competitions and hitting the back of the net on eight occasions, while providing his team-mates with nine assists.

His displays were enough to put a number of sides on his tail, a group which includes Arsene Wenger's Arsenal and Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham.

But for N'Jie, staying put is the priority, even if he has not ruled out Lyon asking him to leave if they receive a substantial offer.

He told Le Dauphine: "I've met the management to renegotiate my salary.

"Maybe the club will ask me to leave if there is an interesting offer, but my desire is to stay at OL this season", the Cameroon hitman added.

N'Jie is already established at international level with Cameroon, having earned eleven caps since making his debut in 2014 and with six goals thrown in for good measure.

Lyon finished second in Ligue 1 last term which means Champions League football will be on the agenda for N'Jie at the Stade Gerland in the forthcoming campaign.
