Chelsea will start negotiations for the signature of Roma target Baba Rahman when they meet Augsburg officials on Monday.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian left-back is one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets this summer as he looks to replace Filipe Luis, who is expected to be on his way to Atletico Madrid.

Baba was one of the most consistent performers for Augsburg last season and the club have made it clear that they are under no financial pressure to sell him this summer.

With Roma also interested in acquiring his services, the Blues are set to press the accelerator in their chase for the full-back and will try to close out a deal with the Bundesliga outfit.

According to Sky Italia, Chelsea will meet the Augsburg officials on Monday to discuss the terms of an agreement for the Ghanaian international.
