Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Danilo Pantic from Partizan Belgrade and have immediately sent him out on loan to Vitesse Arnhem.

Pantic, 18, joins the London outfit from Partizan Belgrade but will spend the entire 2015/16 campaign on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem.




A statement on Chelsea’s official website confirmed his signing and the subsequent season-long loan move to the Eredivisie outfit.

“Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Danilo Pantic from Partizan Belgrade, with the player immediately joining Vitesse Arnhem for the forthcoming campaign.”
 


The youngster has expressed his delight at his move, and is hoping to make at mark at Vitesse, which has been the breeding ground for Chelsea youngsters in recent years.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, the Serb said: “I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, the champions of the English Premier League, and I hope I can show my value at Vitesse in the coming season.

“I am honoured at the faith both clubs have shown in me.”

Pantic played 24 times for Partizan Belgrade following making his debut for the Serbian club in the 2012/13 season.

He made 13 appearances for the Serbian Superliga winners last season, including five Europa League appearances and scored one goal.

A central or left midfielder by trade, Pantic is a Serbian youth international and has represented his national team at Under-19 and Under-17 levels.
