La Liga giants Sevilla are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado ahead of a possible summer swoop.

Los Rojiblancos are looking forward to Champions League football next term after winning the Europa League and Soldado is in their sights as a potential reinforcement.

According to Seville-based sports daily Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are looking at taking Soldado back to his homeland to bolster their striking options.

Spurs are looking for €17m for Soldado, though Sevilla have been thinking of the lower figure of €12m for the striker.

A loan move for Soldado has also not been ruled out by the Spanish side, who could offer the striker the regular first team football which has eluded him in England.

Spurs signed Soldado in the summer of 2013, snapping up the Spain international from Valencia.

The 30-year-old has struggled to make an impact at White Hart Lane though and in his two-year stint in England has only found the back of the net 16 times in 76 games. The emergence of Harry Kane last term has pushed him even further down the pecking order.

Soldado has another two years on his contract with Spurs as his current deal is due to run until the summer of 2017.
