Galatasaray are close to signing Real Madrid starlet Jose Rodriguez on a four-year deal, according to Turkish daily Hurriyet.

Rodriguez spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna and went on to make 27 appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey, notching two goals and a solitary assist in the process.




The youngster will travel today to Istanbul for a medical before he signs a four-year deal with the reigning Turkish champions.

The 20-year-old is a product of the Real Madrid youth academy – the club he joined in 2009 – and went on to make four first team appearances for Los Blancos and scored a solitary goal.
 


He has also appeared 61 times for Real Madrid Castilla and has four goals and five assists to his name for the youth team.

Galatasaray went on to win the league title ahead of Fenerbahce last season under manager Hamza Hamzaoglu.

Rodriguez will be keen to help the Turkish giants retain the title next season.

The youngster will pick up an annual salary of €750,000 and Real Madrid have inserted a sell-on clasue on his transfer.
